A lovely weekend with temperatures in the high twenties on Saturday and rain overnight chasing everyone home early on Sunday morning.
On Friday morning, some Thursday campers were woken early by the boertjies picking oranges in the orchards. The day was spent around camp and the pool, followed by a lekker braai. We were about 20 peeps.
Saturday morning we left on the 4×4 route. Beautiful sceneries with some wild flowers around. After a lunch stop surrounded with endless views, the fun started. Erik was taking his new Hilux out on its first track and unfortunately lost his front tyre on a sharp bend. Stuck on a hill with slippery rocks, it took a while before we managed to put the tyre back on.
The rest of the route was easy and the sandpit was a great playground for the brave ones.
All in all a nice camp site, pool and ablutions.
