The year started off with a fantastic trip to Agter Witzenberg, many members took advantage of this first outing and had a beautiful sunny weekend away with some swimming, hiking and gentle 4 x4ing. Looking at the photos some great fires were built and enjoyed!!!
Agter Witzenberg valley is north of Ceres but only accessible via the turn off to the left at the top of Gydo Pass. The valley is in the heart of the mountains with many farms as well as our campsite (called Panorama) for the weekend.
The campsite is on a dam (clean water with sandy bottom) that is great for swimming. The campsite is the length of the dam and mostly grassed, though camping under the trees can be on sand. It is a very pleasant campsite with great views over the valley.
