The narrow valley of the Baviaanskloof is just under 200 kilometers in length and bounded by two mountain ranges: the Baviaanskloof Mountains on the north and the Kouga mountains on the south side.

Campsite: Rooihoek for 4 nights
Rooihoek wilderness camping site sports a natural pool in the Kruisrivier fringed by an expansive stretch of white sandy beach. The setting sun bathes the sheer rock walls in a warm, red glow, giving the area it’s name.
Depart: Morning 1 May 2018
Cost per person for weekend: R300 excluding permit fee to be paid at gate.
Limited to 5 vehicles / 10 people
Camping Facilities: There are no ablution facilities or drinking water available at Rooihoek so please be self sufficent. There is also no electricity.
Campsite is known for problems with Baboons so ensure all your camping gear can be locked away as nothing can be left unattended at the campsite.
