All day
March 29, 2019 – March 31, 2019
The club visited Badensfontein in March 2017 and as this destination and trail was so well liked, we have decided to go back. The campsite is fully grassed, has trees for shade and has full ablutions and electricity on each site. The site also has two lapa's and a swimming pool. (The photos below are from our last visit on the club Facebook page.)
The campsite also has two houses to rent at the campsite should anyone prefer this option. There is also a dam for fishing, which should please Alan!
Badensfontein is located about 10Km from Montagu.
At the campsite, there is a trail that goes up the mountain to a large telecommunications tower at around 1000m which offers fantastic views over the valley. While the trail climbs steeply in places and requires a vehicle with low range, it is not a challenging trail. We will do this trail on the Saturday morning. Last time we did a full circular trip over the mountain that took most of the day but this time we will just go up to the top and have plenty of time to chill and enjoy this fabulous campsite during the afternoon.
Cost
The campsite cost is R120 per person per night.
What to take
29mhz radio

As we have booked the entire campsite for the club, the rate per person is cheaper than mentioned on the website.
As this is a popular destination, I need to know if you are interested by no later than Wednesday the 13th of February so that I can advise the owners of the number of people coming and confirm our booking for the entire campsite.
Interested? Let me know ASAP if you want to book a spot. Please let me know the number of people in your vehicle.
