🎄Call to ALL members! Club Christmas Weekend outing. 1 – 3 December 🎄
Earlier this year when the club did the Manganese 4×4 trail near Citrusdal we stumbled on this idyllic campsite where the 4×4 trail starts. Talking to the farmer / owner, we found out that it is available to book out for groups. We have been waiting for summer to come to book out this amazing spot for the club! (The photos don’t do the site justice as there is more grass than shown and it was in excellent condition when we saw it in April.)
The weekend is for club members to chillout, socialise and meet fellow club members. (There are a number of club members who have not been seen for a long time. It would be nice to see you there!) Saturday night we hope to have a festive evening around the fire and are exploring options for catering, depending on the number of members who are joining us. If we are lucky, we may even coax Alan into a Farther Christmas suit!
The plan is for everyone to make their way to camp on the Friday, have an enjoyable weekend and depart for home at your leisure on Sunday.
What to take
- Plenty of wood, and then some more.
- Shade – it can be hot in the direct sun. About half the campsite has shade under trees.
- Swimming gear – very pleasant swimming in the dam.
- All the gear you need for camping.
